 Incell, an ESS and battery company, is seeking to develop new markets by using KOTRA's support for its branching business as a springboard to advance into European and Southeast Asian markets.

"We will prepare new ESS products for home use targeting foreign markets and introduce them at the EES exhibition in Munich, Germany in June," said Jin Yong-soo, executive vice president of Incell.

Incell is the only South Korean company to manufacture battery systems for ESS using Samsung SDI's cylindrical compact Cell, which provides battery systems for ESS based on its own BMS technology and packaging technology.

In particular, ESS has eliminated the risk of operational problems that can arise from a combination of different products by directly producing batteries and EMS, which are key elements of ESS except PCS, and by providing total services to system design and construction as well as PF procurement.

In particular, it has been spotlighted for its simplicity of maintenance. For medium- and large-sized Cells with a unit capacity of more than tens ofAh, failure waves throughout the battery in the event of faulty single-cells will inevitably be large and cannot be repaired and the entire battery must be replaced. However, for small Cells, the failure ripple effects are small and only replaceable for the Cells, making maintenance easy and inexpensive.
