[Energy Korea News Correspondent Park Seon-ho] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Seung-ok Moon) held the 'Intelligent Power Grid Export Industry Policy Trend Discussion' at Lotte World Tower on January 9 with the Smart Grid Project Team.


In this policy discussion meeting, domestic companies can discuss the overseas policy trends related to carbon neutrality and Green New Deal from policy managers of major countries.

As a side event, one-on-one online business consultations with 50 foreign companies in 10 countries will be held in the future so that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the electric power sector participating in the discussion can overcome Corona and expand overseas markets.


With the theme of 'Europe's Green Deal to become the world's first climate-neutral continent,' John Bogaerts, Deputy Representative of the European Union to Korea and Chief Political Officer, started with the presentation.

Foreign experts in the energy sector provided insights on the 'global carbon neutrality policy'.


In addition, policy trend information on trade and regional prospects for the second half of '21 and policies to support domestic industry's overseas expansion following the revitalization of the global economy after Corona was provided to domestic companies.


In order to develop overseas markets for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the electric power sector related to carbon neutrality and green control, including Eco-friendly switchgear company Intec Electric and Electronics Co., Ltd. and Incell Co., Ltd. in the energy storage device field.
In the future, online 1:1 business consultation with 50 overseas buyers from 10 countries will also be supported.


Lee Ho-yeon, director of energy innovation policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, said, "Due to Corona, we are experiencing great changes in all aspects of economy, society, education, and life."
